At Ariimoana, we have always believed that true eco-tourism goes beyond just showing people the beauty of a place; it’s about becoming part of the ecosystem and the community. Today, we are beyond thrilled to celebrate a milestone that cements our roots here in the Pacific.
On July 10th, during a beautiful ceremony at the Are Karioi Nui National Auditorium in Rarotonga, Jacopo officially received his Cook Islands Permanent Residency. Taking the Oath of Allegiance in front of the King’s Representative, he was one of 236 individuals honored this year—and proudly, the only Italian citizen to receive the certificate!
Permanent Residency in the Cook Islands is a deeply meaningful recognition. It is granted to those who have dedicated years to living, working, and making a significant contribution to the local community. For Jacopo, Kura, and our entire crew (humans and four-legged friends alike!), this is not just an administrative step; it is a profound honor and a testament to our love for these islands.
This milestone strengthens our commitment to our home. It fuels our passion to keep exploring from reef to ridge, protecting the environment, and sharing the magic of the Cook Islands with all of you.
